Thanksgiving-Feast-2025-pdf]]> 893 Veteran’s Breakfast Volunteer Sign up https://shieldoffaithchristian.org/veterans-breakfast-volunteer-sign-up/ Thu, 06 Nov 2025 01:24:48 +0000 https://shieldoffaithchristian.org/?p=887 On Monday, November 10th we will be hosting our annual veteran’s breakfast.  We need the help of our parent volunteers to make this day a special one for those who have served our country.  Please sign up to help on Sunday, November 9th from 8:30 to 9:30 pm to help set up and decorate.  We are also looking for volunteers to help prep food from 6:00-9:00 am.  Finally, three servers to help with the food service during the event from 9:00 to 10:00 and kitchen clean up after until 11:30 am.  The sign-up link is below.  Thank you in advance for helping

]]> 887 Operation Christmas Child Project https://shieldoffaithchristian.org/operation-christmas-child-project/ Thu, 06 Nov 2025 01:09:50 +0000 https://shieldoffaithchristian.org/?p=885 Can you help a child and have a wonderful Christmas.  Operation Christmas Child does just that.  Our goal is to send a gift filled box to 6 children between the ages of 2 and 14.  We will be collecting for the boxes through Friday morning as we need to deliver them on Friday night.  So far we have collected $55 of the $60 got for needed postage.  We are still in the need of items for the boxes, especially the 2 to 4 year old boy and girl's boxes.  At Shield of Faith one of our focuses is to teach our students to help others.  Would you help in that endeavor by adding to our boxes in the next two days.  Our items will be out on the table at the entrance of school to add to.

This week teachers will be offering parent teacher conferences between Thursday, November 6th and Monday, November 10th.  Please see the link to a schedule for your student’s teacher.  If you are unable to make an appointment time listed, please reach out to your teacher individually for a time.  Although we highly prefer in person conferences, if you need to set up a zoom conference, please notify your teacher on the conference notes.

We love to provide opportunities for our families and friends to get together outside of the classroom. This is our first event of the 2025-26 school year.

Join us on Saturday, September 27th.

All are welcome to join. We will be meeting at Shield of Faith Christian School at 8:30 am.  We will have an opportunity to pick apples, pears, and blackberries at their orchard.  You can also press fresh apple cider.  Bring along a picnic lunch.  Shield of Faith will provide drinks for everyone.  After lunch we will stop at Apple Annies Bakery for some wonderful pie.  What a wonderful way to say hello to fall.
